Promoting Inclusive Urban Dialogues: “Healthy Cities for All” Seminar📍 Santo Domingo, July 2023

We are grateful to the DAAD and the Embassy of Germany in Santo Domingo for their generous support in making this seminar possible.

We opened the event with a presentation by Dr.-Ing. Rosaleda Reynoso Arias, DAAD alumna and expert in urbanism, titled:“Healthy Cities for All: Learning from Informal Settlements?”

Drawing on over 20 years of research and fieldwork in urban development and housing rights, Dr. Reynoso invited participants to rethink health, equity, and sustainability from the perspective of those living in informal neighborhoods. The session set the tone for a series of powerful and constructive conversations among architects, planners, public health professionals, and community leaders.

This seminar was part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive and participatory urbanism in the Dominican Republic and beyond.
